Grenadier: built by function

No decoration. No distractions. No compromises. The INEOS Grenadier is a working tool — built for durability, clarity and control in the harshest conditions. Our typeface follows the same logic, reducing every letter to its structural core.

Made to work

Built on a ladder frame with solid axles and mechanical controls you can operate with gloves on, the Grenadier feels closer to field equipment than a lifestyle SUV. It’s made for job sites, expeditions and places where roads — and trends — don’t matter.

Every part earns its place. Nothing is there for show.

Order and precision

The pickup version carries the name Quartermaster, borrowed from the military role responsible for managing supplies, tools and everything needed to keep an operation running. It’s a function built on order, precision and reliability.

A quartermaster doesn’t embellish; it organises, distributes and sustains. The typeface follows the same discipline, where every component has a purpose and nothing is added without reason.

Engineered in type

The Grenadier typeface is built rather than styled, using straight edges, right angles and solid strokes that carry real visual weight. Rectangular shapes repeat across the alphabet, creating a dense, sturdy rhythm that echoes the vehicle’s physical mass. At the same time, generous spacing improves clarity, heavy weights add durability, and sharp diagonal cuts bring strength and direction to the letterforms.

Proven in practice

INEOS didn’t start as a car company. It began as an engineering business — and when no modern utility vehicle met their standards, they built one themselves. Prototypes were tested for over a million miles before production. The Grenadier Quartermaster backs it up with 3.5 tonnes of towing capacity and over 2,000 litres of load space — capability built for real work.
